Mission
Founded in 2014, the Mighty Youth Runners, affiliated with Road Runners Club of America, is dedicated to promoting running and a healthy lifestyle for youth. The mission of MYR is to inspire youth runners to become more active and to improve their physical and mental well-being through running. MYR is committed to encouraging each child to do their best, in athletics and in academics. MYR supports each child's individual running performance, as well as their personal achievements.
MYR's vision is to provide a club for youth to improve their confidence, healthy lifestyle, performance, and positive outlook on life through running. MYR is dedicated to providing a quality program, incorporating Kids Run the Nation, in a fun and safe environment.

Coaches

Jenni Tellefsen
Jenni is a certified running coach through Road Runners Club of America. She has led the Springer Elementary School running club, Run4YourLife, for 8 years and has also been a Girls on the Run Coach. She is passionate about running and wants to expose kids to the joys of running, whether they do it competitively, or just for fun. She is dedicated to teaching kids how to eat right and exercise, and how to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Jenni has been running for over 30 years. She has completed 3 marathons, 2 half marathons, and has twice completed the 190 mile Golden Gate Relay with 11 other friends, but she especially loves running local races with her children and husband.

Veronique Gobry
Veronique started to run 14 years ago with a friend to raise funds for the Dublin Children Hospital. Since then, she has ran on 3 continents, trained with a team both in France and Australia, participated in numerous 5K, 10K, half-marathons, marathons, and an ultra in the Alps of Switzerland in 2017 just to prove to herself that she was able to do it. She loves to run with her daughter, and coached Girls On The Run in 2014. She is dedicated to teaching kids and sharing her passion with them.
I'd like to show the kids that running is very empowering, they can set their own goal and we'll be there to help them achieve it. I'd like them to experience by themselves that the finish line is just the beginning.

Julie McCullough
Julie is a Certified Health Coach and on the Board of MYR. She loves running, baking and being in the mountains with her family. She is a mom of two busy kids, always on the lookout for healthy recipes to balance out their intake of the ever present sugar and carbs! Julie has taken what she has learned through her training and brought it to MYR giving a full lesson on healthy living and how to eat right for running and for daily life. |
